THE DESIGN

THE DESIGN is a concept store with a sales gallery of contemporary art in the historic center of Prague. In THE DESIGN you will find a special selection of the best from Czech and international designers and artists. The curated selection presents not only modern design glass, ceramics and jewelry, but also collectibles. Part of the space is a cafe with the unique atmosphere of a former pharmacy and a quiet garden.

Owners Olga Rühle, Míla Umanec Bulířová and artist Romana Drdová are behind the realization of the store concept for Czech design. Their goal is to create a place in Havelská Street, where casual and slow tourism enthusiasts like to enter, as well as Prague residents who have been avoiding this place for many years.

The design shop is located in a unique space of 120 square meters on the ground floor and basement of a former pharmacy with an entrance from Havelská street. Across the historic house, the shop connects with its own cafe, which is also accessible from the quiet V Kotcice street, where you can enjoy various types of coffee and desserts.
